What were the causes of the England national team failure in the world cup?

Do you believe underestimating their three opponents in the first round was another cause?
Think of this:
If England had won the group, it would have avoided Germany in the second round…

they were overconfident because they had wayne rooney, so they didn’t take any games seriously because they thought rooney would do all the work.
no tactics, their only tactics were run around and play mindless

The un-allowed goal probably changed their morale completely in the game.

3 reason for this:
1.Lamp and Gerd cannot play together in the same time. He need partner to help him for breaking game. when he played in Chelsea or liverpool he can do everything that he want to do because Javier mascherano and Michael Essien can help him to break down opposite player but he cannot done in England.
2.Everyone had focus to only Rooney but he is not fit to play this tournament
3.They don’t have good goalkeeper.

First, the big picture. This English team is almost man-for-man the same English team that failed to qualify for the 2008 Euro tournament. And yes, Steve McLaren (who, by the way, seems to be doing a great job in the Netherlands) has been replaced by Fabio Capello as manager. And yes, England easily won its WCQ group. But, putting aside the fact that its group consisted of some of the weakest sisters that Europe has to offer, the fact is that in friendlies against quality opponents, Capello’s record is strikingly similar to McClaren’s.
Next the Players – GOALKEEPER – David James,Joe Hart, Rob Green Ugh. Are either of these three journeyman keepers in the top ten of the EPL?Let alone World Cup? Robert Green lmade an unforgetable misstake and James cant block an OK shot
Defence – Great but getting old and they are missing FERDINAND plan B ummm. WES BROWN, MATTEW UPSON,JAMIE CARRAGHER hahahaha
Midfield – Great I like Lampard and Gerrard but they are not perfect together not even close
Wide Midfielders- Lennon was ok but they needed Walcot… LEFT SIDE ??? That slot has been filled by a bunch of people playing out of position lately, including Gerrard, Michael Carrick,James Milner and whatever other warm body that can be found.
STRIKERS – Rooney of course he is one of the best in the world… but he was very disapointing… actually he suked… Fortunately for England’s opponents, they could afford to mark him well because England’s other striker is…..Jermain Defoe? Peter Crouch?Oh God, not Emile Heskey?
Defoe… Yes, that Jermain Defoe. The one who has bounced from mid-level EPL team to mid-level EPL team over the past decade. Crouch… the guy who also cant play for a good team… he cant score… Heskey is just horrible he suks… he is definitly the worst of the four strikers
But I predicted England would go out early so I am kinda happy

A) There was no team chemistry or trust amongst teammates… especially after J Terry was screwing everyone’s wife
B) Rooney showed no passion to win, in fact if things didn’t go his was in the first 10 minutes he quit…. yes Rooney is a quitter.
C) A goalie would help
D) Ashley Cole hates England?? Well thanks for coming Ashley. This should be an honour.
E) Watch the teams in the final 8, a pattern emerges of ball control, effective passing and building through the middle of the pitch…. none of these tactics are employed by the Brits.

Several issues with England not only with this team but most of them who have played in the Wc event.
1. Not enough technical skills to compete. If you do not believe go check what their ex-coaches, managers and admins say now.
2. Club level football is not the same when you play international. Except a couple players have the skills to compete at international level
3. Media, fans and everyone hype and over rate the team
4. Team chemistry is non-existent, probably personal ego was more
5. Overrating themselves and under estimating opponents.
We have seen so many players who excel at club level do not even be present in these game. Very high established players in this list.
I can go on and on – but unless England recognizes the problems seriously and implement the right solution this will continue. I am so confident that I easily predict their games almost correctly.
Does not matter whether they topped their group or not. They would have lost even to Ghana.
